4-H camp improvements underway

When Kentucky 4-H'ers attend camp this year, they will have new bunk beds and mattresses to retreat to at the end of exciting, memorable days.

The beds and mattresses are the first step in a project set to renovate and improve the four Kentucky 4-H camps. Improvements are beginning thanks to a $2 million appropriation from the 2008 Kentucky General Assembly.

A Silver Lining to Lexington's Housing Proposal

A major issue in Lexington right now is a student-housing proposal that would redistribute housing near the University of Kentucky’s campus and ultimately force students further away from the college. A recent study found that, due to the recession, people either want or will want more affordable housing. Such housing can be found in the neighborhoods surrounding UK’s campus, where many students live.
